At John McNeils, we have many years experience in monumental work and offer expert advice to families on a fitting memorial for their loved one.

Whether it be an additional inscription or a brand new memorial. At our memorial workshop, we have the latest equipment and that, combined with our highly skilled masons, we are able to produce a memorial which is tailored in a personal and unique way.

Memorials & Headstones

As with funeral arrangements, we think it is important to remember a loved one in a personal way and this can be done in the design of a headstone, whether it be the material used, the shape of the memorial and even finer details such as carved designs and etchings on the stone, anything is possible including high definition diamond etched designs and portraits.

We also have the facility to create ceramic photo plaques any shape and size, where a favourite photo can be recreated onto a ceramic plaque and attached to the memorial.

Restoration

A full restoration service can be provided where we can re-erect fallen memorials, clean memorials and restore inscriptions which can be regilded in 23½ carat gold leaf, repainted in black, white or silver paint and in some cases even silver leaf.

F. Halliday

"From the first phone call, everything was dealt with so professionally and with such care and compassion. We appreciate every single member of staff who support and work tirelessly through such difficult circumstances."

D. Johnstone

"They organised the cleaning of a sandstone headstone for us. It had been in place for over ninety years, was covered a lichen and almost unreadable. They made a superb job of it. As the picture shows it now looks new. The charge was very reasonable."

M. Hodgson
